Angles
L-shaped sections with equal or unequal legs. Used for bracing, frames, supports and edging.
Best for · Bracing, frames, racksEqual and unequal angles, C-channels, I-beams and H-beams for construction, frames and supports — in structural carbon steel and stainless steel.

Structural sections are chosen for strength, stiffness and weight per metre — so the section designation and grade must be specified exactly.
We supply angles, channels, I-beams and H-beams for buildings, platforms, frames, supports and equipment skids. Sections are ordered by designation, grade and length, and are supplied with their mill test certificate.
If you are working from a drawing or a bill of quantities, send it across and we will match the sections to the specification.
The shape decides how the section resists bending, compression and twisting.

L-shaped sections with equal or unequal legs. Used for bracing, frames, supports and edging.
Best for · Bracing, frames, racks
C-shaped sections with a flat web and two flanges. Used for purlins, frames and supports.
Best for · Purlins, supports, trailers
Sections with a narrow flange and tall web, efficient in bending along their major axis.
Best for · Girders, floor beams, gantries
Wide-flange sections with equal-width flanges. Strong in bending and as columns.
Best for · Columns, heavy framingGoverning standards for each material family. Tell us the one on your purchase order.

Section dimensions: IS 808 (beam, column, channel and angle), IS 12778 (parallel-flange sections), EN 10056 (angles), EN 10034 (I and H sections), ASTM A6 (general requirements). Availability depends on section and length.
The letters tell you the section type and weight series.

The industries that most often specify this product.
Send these with your request and we can quote without going back and forth.
Angle, channel, I-beam or H-beam, and the designation or size.
For example IS 2062 E250, A36 or stainless 304.
IS, ASTM or EN, and the dimensional standard.
Standard length, cut length, and total weight or pieces.
Black, hot-dip galvanised or painted.
MTC 3.1 or 3.2, or third-party inspection.
Mill test certificates to EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2, PMI, hydro and NDT testing, and third-party inspection can be arranged. Read how every order is checked.
Our team can help you choose the right grade, size and specification.
Ask on WhatsAppAn H-beam has wider flanges relative to its web height, so it is stronger in compression and better suited to columns. An I-beam has narrower flanges and is efficient in bending, so it is often used as a girder or floor beam.
They are Indian Standard designations from IS 808: ISMB is a Medium-weight Beam, ISMC a Medium-weight Channel and ISA an Angle. A number follows to give the section depth in mm, for example ISMB 200.
They are similar mild structural steels with a minimum yield strength of about 250 MPa, but they are different specifications with different chemistry and test requirements. Always order to the specification named in your design.
Sections are supplied with a mill test certificate. Ask for EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2 when you enquire. See our Quality Policy.
