Flat Products for Fabrication and Process Equipment

From thin-gauge sheet for kitchens and cladding to heavy plate for pressure vessels, flat products are the starting point for most fabricated equipment.

We supply sheets, plates, coils and strips in stainless steel, carbon steel, alloy steel, nickel alloys, titanium, copper, brass and aluminium. Each lot is ordered to a specification and thickness and is supplied with its mill test certificate.

Tell us the grade, thickness, width, length and finish and we will confirm what is available. Cutting and slitting can be discussed at enquiry stage.

  • Hot-rolled & cold-rolled
  • Multiple surface finishes
  • Thickness and size as ordered
  • Cut-to-size on request

Choose the Form That Fits Your Process

The same grade is available in different forms — pick the one that suits your fabrication route.

01

Sheets

Thinner flat product, usually cold rolled, with a smoother, brighter surface.

Best for · Cladding, kitchens, cabinets
02

Plates

Thicker flat product, usually hot rolled. Used where strength and thickness matter.

Best for · Tanks, vessels, base plates
03

Coils

Continuous rolled material wound into coils for high-volume cutting and forming.

Best for · Slitting, roll forming, stamping
04

Strips

Narrow, slit-width flat product supplied in coils or cut lengths.

Best for · Tube making, springs, gaskets

Sheets / Plates / Coils / Strips: Common Questions

Still have a question?

The split is by thickness. Sheet is the thinner product, usually cold rolled with a smooth finish. Plate is thicker, usually hot rolled. The exact thickness at which sheet becomes plate depends on the material and the standard.

2B is a smooth, moderately reflective finish produced by cold rolling, annealing, pickling and a light final skin-pass. It is the most common general-purpose finish for stainless sheet.

Cut-to-size and slitting requirements can be discussed at enquiry stage. Share the dimensions and quantity you need and we will confirm what is possible.

Material is supplied with a mill test certificate. Ask for EN 10204 Type 3.1 or 3.2 when you enquire, and mention PMI, ultrasonic testing or third-party inspection if you need them. See our Quality Policy.
