Fasteners Matched to Your Joint

A joint is only as good as its weakest bolt. Grade, property class and coating must suit the load, temperature and environment.

We supply fasteners in stainless steel, carbon and alloy steel, high-nickel alloys and non-ferrous metals. They are ordered by standard, grade or property class, size and finish, and are supplied with certificates traceable to the heat or lot.

If you are bolting flanges or pressure equipment, tell us the flange class and service and we will help match the stud bolt and nut grades.

  • Stud bolts, hex bolts & screws
  • Matching nuts and washers
  • ASTM, ISO and DIN standards
  • Special sizes on request

Six Fastener Families

Most joints need a bolt, a nut and a washer — but the right type depends on the application.

01

Bolts

Hex head and heavy hex bolts for structural and general use, with a nut.

Best for · Structural and general joints
02

Nuts

Hex, heavy hex, lock and flange nuts to match the bolt or stud grade.

Best for · Joints with studs or bolts
03

Screws

Socket head cap, set and machine screws for equipment and machinery.

Best for · Machinery and assemblies
04

Studs & Stud Bolts

Threaded on both ends or fully threaded. Standard for flanged joints.

Best for · Flanges and pressure equipment
05

Washers

Flat, spring and lock washers to spread load and prevent loosening.

Best for · Under nuts and bolt heads
06

Anchors

Expansion and chemical anchors to fix to concrete and masonry.

Best for · Fixing to concrete

B7 is the grade of a chrome-molybdenum alloy steel stud under ASTM A193, quenched and tempered for high-temperature and high-pressure service. It is normally paired with grade 2H nuts under ASTM A194.

A2 fasteners are made from 304-type stainless steel and A4 from 316-type, which contains molybdenum for better resistance to chlorides and acids. The number after the dash — 70 or 80 — is the property class, showing the minimum tensile strength.

They are ISO 898-1 property classes. The first number × 100 gives the minimum tensile strength in MPa (8.8 = 800 MPa); the second number as a decimal fraction of the first gives the yield ratio. Higher numbers mean stronger bolts.

Yes — fasteners are supplied with certificates traceable to the heat or lot. Ask for EN 10204 3.1 or 3.2, and mention hardness testing or third-party inspection when you enquire. See our Quality Policy.
